A Show of Unity as Leaders Address Crowd in Agra, Emphasizing the Importance of Saving Democracy
Agra- In a significant display of unity within the Indian National Congress-led alliance, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Agra on Sunday. The SP President’s participation comes following the finalization of a seat-sharing agreement between the SP and the Congress just last week.
This development marks a crucial step forward in the collaboration between the two parties, with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also in attendance during the yatra.
Addressing the gathered crowd in Agra, both Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav stood together, emphasizing a united front. Yadav expressed, “In the coming days, the biggest challenge is to save democracy and the Constitution, to fulfill the dreams of Dr. BR Ambedkar, that have been undermined by the BJP…BJP haatao, desh ko bachao.”
Akhilesh Yadav’s early involvement in Rahul Gandhi’s yatra underscores his commitment to the opposition’s cause in Uttar Pradesh. The yatra is slated to continue until March, with leaders rallying support across the state.
Last week’s acceptance of the SP’s 17-seat offer by the Congress leadership signals a solidification of the alliance, putting an end to speculations regarding the stability of the partnership.
