Baran Muslims Rally for Justice and Release: Condemn Haldwani Violence and Demand Government Accountability Amidst Growing Concerns.

BARAN– In Baran, Rajasthan, the All Muslim Community Baran organized a protest at Anjuman Chowk on Friday, denouncing the recent violence in Haldwani and advocating for the release of Mufti Salman Azhari, a prominent Muslim scholar currently detained on charges of hate speech.

During the demonstration, speakers passionately condemned the tragic events in Haldwani, where two Muslims lost their lives and several others sustained injuries. They asserted that the violence was not an isolated incident but rather a manifestation of systemic discrimination against the Muslim community, allegedly perpetuated by the BJP government.

The protestors called upon the authorities to take swift action to safeguard the rights and safety of Muslims, emphasizing the need for justice to be served in the Haldwani case. Program Convener Samir Khan outlined the event, which commenced with a Quranic recitation by Hafiz Razi Ahmed, followed by a stirring performance of a revolutionary song by Mohammad Ashraf Mansuri.

Addressing the crowd, Insaf Raza criticized the government’s handling of the situation, accusing it of targeting Muslim scholars without substantial evidence and subjecting them to unjust treatment. Hafiz Arman echoed similar sentiments, expressing concern over the alleged harassment of Muslim scholars and urging for their release through legal channels.

Waseem Mansuri shed light on the atrocities faced by the Muslim community, particularly referencing the targeted attacks on mosques and religious sites in Haldwani. He demanded compensation for the families of the victims and called for stringent punishment for those responsible for orchestrating the violence.

Simultaneously, in Sangod, Kota district, a delegation of Muslim leaders presented a memorandum to the SDM, reiterating the demands for Mufti Salman Azhari’s release and justice for the victims of the Haldwani violence. They urged the government to provide adequate compensation to affected families and implement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Assuring the delegation, the SDM pledged to escalate their demands to the appropriate authorities, signaling a commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the Muslim community.
