Must read

New Delhi : The Scholar School marked its Annual Day with vibrant enthusiasm, blending impressive student performances with powerful messages on moral values, social responsibility, and Islamic principles. The event united students, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests in a celebration of talent and meaningful awareness.

The programme was graced by Dr. Khwaja M. Shahid, President of the All India Educational Movement and former Pro Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, who attended as Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour were Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), and Mr. M. Sajid, Director of Vision 2026 and General Secretary of the Human Welfare Foundation (HWF).

The event opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a reflective tone. Students welcomed the dignitaries with bouquets and mementos. Principal Ms. Mahpara Jan delivered the welcome address and introduced the honoured guests, reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic education that balances academic excellence with character building.

The performances ranged from entertaining to deeply thought-provoking. Pre-primary children charmed the audience with a humorous qawwali and lively action songs, while senior students presented confident and creative acts, including:

  • A street play on Cyber Security Awareness
  • Skits on Imaan Ki Jeet, honesty, and kindness
  • Instrumental performances
  • A thematic presentation titled “Breathe Delhi Breathe” addressing air pollution
  • A colourful Jungle Safari segment

Each item skillfully combined artistic expression with strong moral and socio-political messaging, earning enthusiastic applause.

In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Khwaja M. Shahid congratulated the students, teachers, and management for delivering an outstanding programme. He stressed the critical role of moral education and called on students to honour their responsibilities toward parents, society, and the nation.

Delivering his speech as the Guest of Honour Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan emphasized the value of quality education and expressed strong confidence in the bright future of Scholar School students. He praised the institution’s high academic standards, highlighting an instance where students correctly identified scientist Michael Faraday and his mentor Humphry Davy—a question many students from other schools he visited had answered incorrectly.

He offered practical guidance to all stakeholders:

  • Management and teachers: Create an optimal learning environment and avoid overburdening students with excessive homework, leaving space for parents to provide moral and religious guidance at home.
  • Parents should serve as ideal role models through ethical behaviour and strong character, and devote time to impart moral, religious, and life education to their children, rather than spending all their time only assisting with homework and formal school studies.
  • Students: Practise discipline, nurture curiosity, build strong reading habits, limit gadget use, work diligently, set clear career goals, and—while pursuing professions such as engineering or medicine—strive to become good Muslims and responsible human beings, preparing for both this life and the hereafter.

Guest of Honour Mr. M. Sajid described The Scholar School, Delhi, as the top-performing branch among the eight schools operated by the HWF across India, calling it a true role model. His inspiring remarks greatly encouraged the staff. He also shared exciting updates: the school’s government recognition process is actively underway and is expected to be finalized very soon. Additionally, efforts are progressing to secure CBSE affiliation up to Class 12.

The programme was smoothly managed by Administrator Dr. Qazi Muhammad Miyan and confidently conducted by Ms. Saima Akhtar and Ms. Sabia Sultan. Vice-Principal Ms. Hira Irfan delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the memorable and uplifting event to a close.

The Scholar School’s Annual Day successfully showcased young talent while reinforcing timeless values and contemporary social awareness, leaving everyone inspired and hopeful for the institution’s continued growth and official recognition.
